Container weighing

The International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), which orders the weighing of cargo before loading, came into force on July 1, 2016. This rule increases the safety of maritime transport by preventing overloading of containers in which the actual weight does not correspond to the data provided.
In addition, the vehicles of carriers are increasingly penalised on the basis of weight inspections. The integration of Weighing Systems in logistics centres and/or installation of scales at container handlers is an effective solution for addressing the new standards. The Weighing System TENZOWIM 134 evaluates loads of individual axles, axle groups and the gross vehicle weight (GVW) of the vehicle at the time when the vehicle passes over the weighing platform. I.e. the mass parameters undetectable by conventional bridge weights. The weight of each container is known to the consignor before it is stored. Year-round operation even in very demanding operations.

Container scales are designed for handling containers by crane. The scales are designed for increased risk of impact when placing heavy containers. Due to their nature they excel in high precision.

Material weighing can be carried out directly on machines such as reachstackers, forklifts, manipulators, etc. Continuous loading monitoring allows greater visibility, control and acceleration of the entire process.
